Every week a client asks a website design company in Faridabad the same thing: should we make a separate page for every sector we serve? Sector 15, Sector 21, NIT, Ballabgarh, Greater Faridabad. It sounds like a good way to rank everywhere. Usually it is not.
Why copied area pages backfire
Google's spam policies describe "doorway pages" as pages made for slightly different city or area searches that funnel people to the same place. Twenty pages that are identical except for the sector name fit that description exactly. In 2026 Google ran several spam updates enforcing this, and sites built that way lost visibility.
What we do instead
Start with the map
Like the pins in this photo, we first mark where your customers actually come from. For most local businesses that is a handful of areas, not the whole city.
One strong page per real service
A clinic has a few services. A packers-and-movers firm has home shifting, office shifting and vehicle transport. Each gets one detailed page that names the areas you cover in normal sentences.
Area pages only with real substance
A separate area page is worth making when you genuinely have something different to say: a branch there, projects completed there, different prices or timings. Then it is useful, not a doorway.
Tell Google where you work
- In your Google Business Profile, set the service areas you really cover
- On your contact page, list the areas in plain text
- In the site's structured data, list them as areas served
That combination tells Google and AI assistants where you work without a single copied page.
The short version
